GRADING Peace Silver Dollars

Grades

Good is heavily worn. The design and legend is visible but faint in spots. Very little detail remains and the eagle is worn nearly flat. PEACE is barely readable.

Very Good is well worn. The design is clear but flat and lacking details. The hair is flattened and rays have weak spots. Most feather details are worn away. Portions of PEACE are missing.

Fine has moderate to heavy wear. The entire design is clear and bold. All hair around the face is smooth. Rays show a trace of wear. On the eagle, all feathers on right leg are worn away. Parts of PEACE are weak but readable.

Very Fine has light to moderate wear. Hair details around face are weak. Feather detail on right wing is very weak. There is wear on leg feathers and neck. Motto shows a trace of wear.

Extremely Fine has very light wear on only the highest points. The hair around faces shows slight wear, but most hair strands are visible. The eagle's top of neck and head behind the eye show slight wear.  The central wing & leg feathers are slightly worn.

About Uncirculated shows a small trace of wear on the highest points of the hair above the ear and forehead. The high points of feathers on the right wing show a trace of wear.

Uncirculated coins have no trace of wear and only light blemishes. Maybe weakly struck with full mint luster but may lack brilliance. The surface may be spotted or heavily toned.
